A veritable institution in the world of classical music, The Romeros guitar quartet has dazzled countless audiences and won the raves of reviewers worldwide. In 2007, The Romeros received The Recording Academy’s President’s Life-Time Merit Award from the GRAMMYs© in honor of their artistic achievements. The Romeros celebrate the 100th anniversary of Celedonio Romero, patriarch and founder of the Romero dynasty of guitar virtuosos, in a concert by Celedonio’s sons and grandsons – Celin, Pepe, Angel, Lito and Celino Romero – featuring guitars built by Pepe Romero, Jr. Please join them on this momentous occasion at the historic Lobero Theatre where Celedonio and the Romeros began their stellar career.

The Peaceful Guitar Society ( PGS) is a group of spirit based people ( Not Religious) who love the classical guitar and want to create an atmosphere of support for performers and listeners at all levels.
THE PGS , based in Los Angeles, believes that the music comes from the individuals soul or spirit and is not just a technical skill that is mastered through gymnastics.
The PGS travels to beautiful places to meet, perform and enjoy playing and socializing in inspirational Surroundings . One of the Goals of PGS is providing guitars and scholarships to Classical Guitar students at all levels and free lessons to those young people who love the guitar but cannot afford them.
The Peaceful Guitar Society Is changing the way the guitar is headed. PGS is working to change the meeting environment from one of competition and arrogance to a spirit of support and encouragement.
The Idea of the Society was first conceived after spending time with Celedonio Romero who said that “Every guitarist is granted a gift from their creator, some are fast, Some have beautiful tone, some have amazing insight.” Each gift is a worthy treasure.
Every member and attendee must agree to the bylaws that EVERY PERFORMER has the right to play without criticism, which we believe belongs in dialogue between the player and their teacher or personal correction by themselves.
